Context
Seltix is one of the biggest German YouTube creators, known for documentaries told through animation. This film is about Albinen, the Swiss mountain village that offered money to anyone willing to move there.
Client work for Seltix's channel. My graphics carry the story between the footage: headlines, maps, numbers and timelines. Long-form has to hold attention for the whole runtime, and every graphic has to be understood the moment it appears.

Key design moments
Moment 01
Put the viewer on the map first
Almost nobody knows where Albinen is. A satellite map with the village traced in outline puts viewers in the Swiss mountains within seconds, before a single number appears.
Moment 02
Numbers as objects
Figures like the 210,000 € minimum investment get lost in narration. Each one gets its own card with simple icons, and headlines appear as real articles, all in the film's warm, slightly rough look.
04
Impact
The collaboration turned the creator I learned from into a client.
05
Reflections
In long-form, a graphic has about one second to make its point before the story moves on. Designing for that second changed how I build every graphic since.
